Shortage of Professional Science and Environmental Education Teachers in Nigeria

This study evaluated the shortage of professional science and environmental education teachers in Nigeria’s educational institutions. The used descriptive research survey design. population comprised all public primary, secondary, tertiary institutions Nigeria. sample size 600 students respectively made up 200 pupils, secondary students, selected randomly from six geopolitical zones instrument for data collection was a 18 structured questionnaire items rated on 4-point Likert scale, with response options Strongly Agree (SA); (A); Disagree (D); (SD).The responses respondents were presented simple statistical table analysed using Mean (x̅) Grand (gx̅). findings revealed that problems Science Environmental Education is common to Nigerian at levels. Based result findings, it recommended infused concepts subjects should be taught by qualified lecturers levels education, beginning primary level
